-An Optical Sensing Chamber with False Alarm Control .
-False alarm control to operate on use of the combined test switch and de sensitize the detection chamber rather than disarm it. The detector shall still respond to serious levels of smoke.
-A Dual Voltage Power Supply that will operate in 9V DC mode or 230V AC mode with a 9V DC Primary backup
-A 9V DC Alkaline Long Life Primary Battery backup that has a projected 3 year life and provides a minimum of 72 hours standby and 4 minutes in alarm at any time during this period. NB. A fresh battery will sustain the detector for circa 2
years in AC power failure.
-30 day Low Battery Warning Signal.
-A Full Function Electronic Test Switch combining false alarm control activate.
-LED indicator light to indicate GREEN that AC mains power is on. A separate RED LED, pulse once per minute, normal operation; pulse once every 10 seconds, smoke alarm is in false alarm control; pulse once per second and alarm horn operates, smoke alarm is sensing smoke. LED off, alarm horn operates, another connected smoke alarm has sensed smoke.
-An Insect resistant detection chamber.
-An Automatic Detection Chamber monitoring circuit -supervising the chamber circa once per minute and providing an audible warning in the event of a degradation of the chamber.
-Interconnection of up to 36 Firex smoke alarms either AC or AC/DC models
-An Automatic Reset Facility.
-A fitted integral foam ceiling gasket for ease of installation and a dust cover for the protection of the device during installation or subsequent building works.
-Anti Tamper Locking Mechanism to secure detector to base.
-Central Connection Centre with non reversable plug and flying lead.
